Edward Rogers McCoy

Edward Rogers McCoy, 82 of Ekron, died Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Flaherty, served in the U.S. Army and a member of Howevalley United Methodist Church. He retired in 1996 from Fort Knox Civil Service and was a tractor mechanic. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Edward McCoy in 1964 and his parents, Sedley and Lorene Coleman McCoy. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Wanda Coffey McCoy; one son, Mike McCoy (Rachel) of Ekron; three brothers, Earl McCoy of Elizabethtown, Randall McCoy of Big Springs and Samuel McCoy of Irvington; two grandchildren, Jonathan (Ashley) McCoy of Campbellsville and Jessica Erin McCoy of Ekron and several nieces, nephews and friends. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Rose Marie Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continue after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Contributions to Crusade for Children.
