Willard F. Best, 82, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Hart County and a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church. He was an enthusiastic golfer, a self-taught musician, and was retired from Gates Rubber Company after 31 years. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Debbie Best, two daughters, Anya (Michael) DeLaura of Chesapeake, VA and Sheree Best of Louisville, one sister, Ethel (Elbert Lee) Gardner of Louisville, one granddaughter, Sarah Peek of Louisville, and a great-granddaughter, Lilly. Willard was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Letha (Hudgins) Best. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Elmer Varnadore officiating. Burial will be at the Magnolia Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery.
