Mildred Alene Dunn, 84, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center at Norton Hospital in Louisville. She was a native of Elizabethtown, a member of First Christian Church and worked in child care at Severns Valley Baptist Church and Elizabethtown Christian Academy for over 20 years. She loved her faith, her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Dunn; her parents, Elmer Rue and Mary Elizabeth Edlin McMillen, and a brother, Kenneth McMillen. She is survived by her daughter, Suzie (Sage Benado) Dunn of Elizabethtown; her fiance, Carl Hume of Louisville; a sister, JoAnn (John) Tabb of Owensboro; one sister-in-law, Shirley McMillen and six nieces and nephews, John Michael Tabb, Cindy Tabb Sheriff, Patty Tabb Sears, Laura McMillen Harper, Scott McMillen and Todd McMillen. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Kiger officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
