Roy L. Hilton, 85 of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Helmwood Healthcare. He was a native of Hardin County, served in the U. S. Army and retired from Fort Knox Civil Service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma J. Richardson Hilton in 1987; his parents, Iva Nettie Hicks and S. B. Hilton, Sr.; two sisters, Helen Rose Allen and Dorothy Jean Hill and four brothers, James Hilton, Kenneth Hilton, S. B. Hilton, Jr. and Marvin Hilton. He is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Jerry) Corbit of Elizabethtown; one son, Steven Hilton; three sisters, Shirley (Ernie) Pearson and June (Harold) Lewis all of Elizabethtown and Lucille Calvert of Cecilia; three grandchildren, Heather (Kirk) Brown, Andrea (Michael) Ireland and Ash (Lisa) Hilton and six great grandchildren, Connor Brown, Noah Brown, Brody Brown, Ava Ireland, Gavin Ireland and Hunter Hilton. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. John Board officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continue after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Contributions to the American Cancer Society.
