David Frederick White

David Frederick White, 67, of Sonora, passed away 1 September 2016 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, on 23 July 1949 to Martin and Beth White. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tom. He is survived by his amazing wife Peggy Ann (Curry) White, who stayed married to him for forty years despite all of the pranks and shenanigans over the years. He is also survived by three children, Emily (Adrian) Aldrich, Sam White, and Max White, who will carry on his legacy of a strong work ethic, smart-alec remarks, and love of family and steak; in addition, he leaves behind three beloved grandchildren, Alek "Kitty Kat" Aldrich, and the "Twinkies" Anneliese and Naliya Aldrich who all deeply miss him. He had a sister, Valerie (Buck) Stultz, and brother, George (Ellen) White, who will also miss David very much. Last but not least, he had a special friend, Squeakers the Cat, whom he spoiled so much despite alleging that he wasn't an animal lover that she has been a terror since he left us. David had many passions in life, such as spending time with his family, traveling, mowing his grass, swearing at lawn equipment and groundhogs, cruising in his classic car, discussing world events and politics, and puttering around his property on his tractors. He never liked funerals, so in lieu of a service, the family is hosting an open visitation with light snacks and drinks at the lake behind the Thurman-Phillips Guest Home on Saturday, 8 October from 3:30 to 5:00 pm, with a private dinner for the family afterward. Friends of the family are welcome to come and see the family, enjoy some refreshments, and share stories about a cherished husband, father, and grandfather (we're sure there are plenty).
