William Floyd McClure

William Floyd McClure, 87 of Elizabethtown, died Monday, October 3, 2016 at Hospice House of Bowling Green. He was a native of Hardin County and a member of Valley Creek Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired in 1991 from Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella McClure; parents, William "Rip" and Della Floyd McClure; two brothers, Willard McClure and Estill McClure; two sisters, Juanita Hudson and Mary Griffit and a great grandchild. He is survived by one son, Mark McClure of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Lisa Howard of Elizabethtown; two foster children, Paul Amos of Elizabethtown and Janie Bullock of Beaver Dam; five grandchildren, Lea Ann (Billy) Greer, Michael (Ashley) McClure, Aaron (Keri) Howard, Jessica (Dusty) Ward and Hannah Howard and four great grandchildren. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Brother Shaun Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 9 am.. Thursday at the funeral home.
