Henry Lee Massey, Jr.

Henry Lee Massey, Jr., 87 of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, September 18, 2016 at his home. He was a native of Livingston, TN, served in the U.S. Army and a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1455 and the Msgr. McGee General Assembly Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree. He was a Kentucky Colonel and retired from the Department of Defense. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Patricia Massey; his parents, Henry Lee Massey, Sr. and Gertrude White Massey and a sister, Edna Earl Taylor He is survived by three sons, David Lee (Della) Massey of Winchester, IN, Michael John (Joy) Massey and Robert Edward Massey all of Lexington; five daughters, Mary (William) Parker of Cecilia, Barbara Anne (Richard) Williams of Elizabethtown, Margaret Billings and Patricia Maureen Massey both of San Antonio, TX and Carol Elizabeth Hatt of Louisville; two sisters, Ruth Ann Givens of Lebanon, TN and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Shane Duvall officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 9 a.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home. A Prayer Vigil Service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
