John Plank Behen, 97, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, August 31, at Baptist Health in Louisville. He was a native of Cloverport, KY, a WWII Army Air Corp veteran and a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. He was senior vice president of First Hardin National Bank and retired from Citizens Fidelty and former secretary/treasurer for North Central Kentucky Education Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Nelson Behen and his parents, Ira DeHaven and Grace Mae Behen. He is survived by his son, John Nelson (Linda Diedrichs) Behen of Cincinnati; a daughter, Emily Behen (Philip) Gayhart of Louisville; 3 grandchildren, John Ira Behen, Kate Gayhart and Tom Gayhart; and a great grand daughter, Caroline Gayhart.
