George C. Elliott, 90, of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Originally a native of Hart County, Kentucky, George graduated from the University of Kentucky School of Pharmacy in 1952 and enjoyed a long career as a pharmacist, owning pharmacies in Bonnieville, Gamaliel, and Elizabethtown. He remained active throughout his life and enjoyed gardening, hiking, and birding. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Genevieve, daughter Georgia (Richard Lymes) of Rineyville, KY, sons Greg (Teresa) of Panama City, FL, Grant of Culver City, CA, Geoff (Julia) of Pasadena, CA, and Gene of Memphis, TN, six grand children, and three great-grand children. A celebration of life will be held at the Elizabethtown Nature Park Saturday, May 21 from 10 a.m. to noon.
