Joseph Lawrence Lawson, 62 of Elizabethtown, died Monday, May 9, 2016 at his home. He was a native of Hardin County, a member of First Christian Church and was a Senior Quality Engineer for Magna International Corp. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Elizabeth Lawson and a sister, Mary Lee Higgs. He is survived by his wife, Vicky Pitvorec Lawson; two sons, Jason Lawson and Stewart (Heather) Lawson; a step son, Mark (Kristen) Dowell all of Elizabethtown; his father, Charles Leonard Lawson, Sr. of Vine Grove; one brother, Charles L. (Karen) Lawson, Jr. of Elizabethtown; one sister, Rayetta (Jimmy) Barnes of Elizabethtown and five grandchildren, Seth, Annabelle, Sophia, Maddie and Landon. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
