Michael Lewis Viers, 69, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at his residence. The Hardin County native was a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of Tunnel Hill Baptist Church. He was a graduate of East Hardin High School and was an Electrician for Howard Pence Electric. He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Virginia Celestine Logsdon Veirs, by three brothers, Ronnie Veirs, Ted Veirs and Larry Veirs and by two sisters, Shirley Loving and Joyce Wright. He is survived by two sons, Michael Anthony Viers and Clayton Daniel Viers both of Elizabethtown, two daughters, Michele (Darnell) Lothery or Elizabethtown and Rhonda Kaye Viers of Huntington Beach, CA, one brother David (Judy) Veirs of Elizabethtown, four sisters, Linda (Paul) Champ, Donna Owen and Cheryl (Gene) Scott all of Elizabethtown and Judy (Bernie) Faulhaber of Live Oak, FL, six grandchildren, Peyton, Daniel, Will, Anna, Gavin and Raini and one great grandchild, Xander. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tunnel Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Looten officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff with military honors.
