Clarence L. Richardson

Clarence L. Richardson, 91 of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Kensington Center. He was a native of Hardin County, served in the U. S. Army and was a member of First Christian Church. Clarence worked a total of 45 years in banking. He began his career at The Cecilian Bank in 1948 and moved to The Springfield State Bank in Springfield, KY in 1970 until his retirement as President in July of 1993. He then moved back to Hardin County, where he remained as a Board of Director until April 2013. He was a past member of the Springfield United Methodist Church, Past President of Springfield Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow, Past President of Washington County Chamber of Commerce and Past Board Member of Lincoln Trail Area Development District. He was prececed in death by his son, Mark Richardson; a brother, John Richardson and his parents, Birch and Myrtle Lyddan Richardson. He is survived by a son, Michael (Michelle) Richardson of Cecilia; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Richardson of Springfield and three grandchildren, Matthew Richardson, Christopher Prather and Elizabeth Prather. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Glendale Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continue after 9 am.. Friday at the funeral home.
