Melbaline Haven Berry, 95, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully March 12, 2016, at Hosparus Care Center in Norton Healthcare Pavilion. She was a native of Cromwell, KY. For many years, she was an active member of Severns Valley Baptist Church teaching Sunday school classes. She retired as a bookkeeper for E'town Paving Company and Waters Construction Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elgia Roy Berry; her parents, Clarence and Ella Pirtle Haven and her siblings, Cecil Haven, Gladys Crowe, Oles Jewel Haven, Claribel Rafferty, Harlan D. Haven, Glendon Haven and Maxine Haven. She is survived by her children, Barbara (Jim) Connelly of Elizabethtown and Jim (Elaine) Berry of Greenville, NC; her grandchildren, David Connelly, April Peel, Doug Connelly and Michael Berry; six great grandchildren and one brother, Roy Louis Haven of Cromwell, KY. The funeral will be 11 am Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Roger McCurry officiating. Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 pm Tuesday and after 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.
