Elizabeth A. “Betty” Sentel (Thompson) died peacefully on Sunday, January 31st at the age of 81. Betty was born on February 8, 1934 in Hoboken, NJ to Theodore Thompson and Julia Lenahan. She married Peter Sentel in 1958. They moved to Elizabethtown as part of the relocation Management Team of Crucible Steel Magnet Division from Harrison, NJ in 1965. Betty is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ann Marie Addesso of Lakewood, NJ. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Peter J Sentel; two sisters, Judy (Patrick) Lombardi of Lakewood, NJ, Ruth Thompson of Hoboken NJ, and close family friends, the Doyles, Elizabethtown and Lexington, KY, the Longendyks, Elizabethtown, KY and the Vlacichs, of Freehold, NJ. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday and continue until time for the Memorial Mass at Noon at St. James Catholic Church.
