David Woodring

David M Woodring (66) of Rineyville, Kentucky moved from the land on which he was born to the land for which he was born again on January 27, 2016. He passed away peacefully at home after his battle with pancreatic cancer. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Florence Woodring. Survived by his wife of 45 years, Claudia Woodring; and five children: Brian and Anisia Woodring, Denise and Mark Cochran, Sharon Woodring, Laura and James Cruse, Amanda and Joe Dixon. Ten grandchildren: James and John Woodring; Douglas, Brandon and Jacob Cochran; Jayden, Zach and Zoey Cruse; Autumn and Liam Dixon. Two brothers and three sisters: Allen and Mary Woodring, Patsy and J Martin, Joe and Pat Woodring, Jane and Henry Huffard, and Jean Woodring; and a host of nieces and nephews and their children. Also, his faithful companion Max. Graduate of North Hardin High School ('67), and Eastern Kentucky University ('72). Taught at Laurel Park High School and North Hardin High School. Owner of Woodring's Furniture. Faithful member of Elizabethtown church of Christ, avid collector of antiques, NASCAR, Dr. Pepper and old hand tools. Visitation at Brown Funeral Home Friday, January 29 from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and at E-town church of Christ Saturday, January 30 from 9:00 - 11:00 A.M. Funeral immediately following at E-town church of Christ and burial at Hardin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please donate in his honor to victoryjunction.org.
