Layman J. "Larry" Simpson, 83, of Elizabethtown passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at his home. He was a native of Hardin County and was the owner of Simpson's Distributorship for Dean's Milk. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and worked in milk distribution for over 50 years with Meadow Gold, Flav O Rich and Dean Milk. He was a former member of the national guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Simpson and a brother, Tony Simpson. He is survived by four sons, Joe Simpson of Smyrna, TN, Daniel Simpson of Pikesville, MD, Paul Simpson and David Simpson both of Elizabethtown; five brothers, Vincent Simpson of Tyler, TX, Bill Simpson and Tommy Simpson both of Louisville, and Johnny Simpson and Francis Simpson both of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in The Simpson Family Cemetery.
