Aline Atcher James

Aline Atcher James, 98, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at North Hardin Health and Rehab in Radcliff. She was born to Gilbert and Lucy McNally in Grahampton, KY on November 27, 1916. She retired from Civil Service at Fort Knox and was a member of Longview United Methodist Church. After retirement, she enjoyed working in her yard and flowers and being with family and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe James and a brother, Martin McNally and two sons-in- law, Noel Eck and Rev. Dr. Charles Burgin. She is survived by three daughters, Ruth (Kenneth) Hawkins of Elizabethtown, Jean Burgin of Louisville and Dixie Eck of Radcliff; a son; Tommy (Teresa) Atcher of Rineyville; 9 grandchildren, Debbie Moore, Mike Eck, Mark Eck, Greg Dorris, Dan Dorris, Vicky Williams, Jeff Hawkins, Shaun Atcher and Heather Brashear; 13 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Friday at 12 noon at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. John Vaught officiating. Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continue after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Contributions to Hosparous.
