William "Bill" Logan Johnson Sr.

William "Bill" Logan Johnson, Sr., age 88 of Elizabethtown, died at home Saturday morning, September 12. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and former member of Rolling Fork Baptist Church in Nelson, County. He was an Army veteran of World War II, was a local entrepreneur with Hidden Treasure Anique Mall, started Colonial Interiors Paint and Floor Covering and was a local buiding contractor for 32 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Logan and Alice Johnson and a sister Cleo Greer, from Nelson County. Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, the former Bobby Ann Brown one daughter, Linda Johnson Smith (Edsel), one son William "Billy" Logan Johnson, Jr.(Linda), six grandchildren, Dr. Matt Smith, Josh Johnson (Emily), Jacob Johnson (Mandy), Kyle Smith, Micah Johnson (Katrina), and Beth Smith Vessels (Tyler). He was blessed with 8 great grandchildren as well. The funeral will be at 2 p.m.Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Micah Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Hardin Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 pm on Monday and after Noon Tuesday at the funeral home. Donations can be made to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.
