William Earl "Buddy" Killensworth

Retired Sgt. 1st Class William Earl "Buddy" Killensworth, 65, of Elizabethtown passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015 at his residence. He was born May 9, 1950, in Hope Mills, North Carolina. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, VFW Post No 113, a 22 year veteran of the U.S. Army who served one tour of duty in Vietnam and a manager of Annie Ruth Miller's Attic. He was preceded in death by his father, W.L. "Red" Miller and his first wife, Faye Killensworth. He is survived by his wife, Betty Killensworth; mother, Annie Miller; a brother, Morris "Peanut" Killensworth (Karen); two sons, Glenn Killensworth (Marquita) and Anthony Killensworth; a granddaughter, Courtney Killensworth; and two stepchildren, Raedenna (Harold) Janes and Steven Milby; two step grandchildren, Tonya Underwood and Kimberly Dziabula; and seven step great-grandchildren. The funeral is at 2 pm Sunday at First Baptist Church in Elizabethtown. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 4 to 8 pm Saturday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
