Joshua Wayne Parrett, 39, of Elizabethtown passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015. He was a native of Hardin County and a member of Valley Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Elsie Johnson and William and Julia Mae Parrett all of Elizabethtown. He is survived by his father and step mother: Benjamin and Patricia Parrett of Elizabethtown; his mother and step father: Rhonda and Stephen Adams of Garrett; 1 son: Cody William Parrett of Elizabethtown, 1 daughter, Tori Lynn Parrett of Elizabethtown, 1 brother, Tommy Lee Parrett of Elizabethtown, 2 sisters; Jennifer French of Lodiburg, Ky and Desiree Waddell of Elizabethtown, and 1 grandchild, Zarah Griffin of Elizabethtown. His wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be 2 pm Saturday at Valley Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Kerr officiating. Visitation will be from 10 - 2 Saturday at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Jewish Hospital Transplant Heart and Lung Institution.
