David ("Dave") Bruce Cash, age 63, of Elizabethtown, KY peacefully went to meet his Lord and Savior on August 22, 2015. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Willie Lincoln Cash and Trudy Mills Cash; and a daughter, Chanda Cash Kelley. He is survived by: his wife of 28 years, Ann Skipworth Cash; His beloved step-daughters: Tara (Bob) Parker, Tami (Paul) Delaney, & Tiffany Willis; His treasured grandchildren: Kaitlin & Kesleigh Parker, Tyler Owens, Kayli & Shelbi England, Alivia Kelley, Riley & Reagan Ayers; His loving sister, Jean (Paul Sr.) Cash Nadeau & her children, Laura & Paul Jr.; Many dear cousins; and his closest friend of many years, Mike (Sherry) Beaven; Dave was a Louisville native and graduated from Pleasure Ridge High School in 1969. He was also proud to be a veteran, having served in the Army as the crew chief of a heliocopter in the 101st Airbourne Division. He was unique in that he was not drafted, but chose to enlist in 1970, while also requesting to be stationed in Vietnam, during wartime. As a civilian, he began steps towards his lifelong work focus at Kentucky Machinery Inc.(KMI), followed by over a decade at Construction Machinery Inc.(CMC) in Louisville, KY, starting as Parts Manager and evolving to Product Support Rep. In January of 1998, Dave was excited to join the sales force of Process Machinery Inc.(PMI), Shelbyville, KY under the nurturing guidance of David H. Miles, and then Danny Miles, as well. Perhaps David H. Miles has now summed up Dave Cash, best of all, stating the following: "Dave was an icon among the Kentucky & Southern Indiana stone quarry industry. His involvement covers a period of forty plus years. He was known, widely respected and loved by his many customers that he served, the vendors that he represented, co-workers and competitors. A man of unconditional love and devotion to his beloved wife, children, grandchildren and his God. He embodied the principles of dedication, relentless work ethic, humble service to others, moral convictions, honesty, integrity and human dignity in everything that he did. He was a half glass full person in everything that he set out to do, always seeking the positive, never complaining, even when times were very tough. He always placed in trust in his God. He gave back far more than he took from life. He worked extremely hard for every accomplishment and always appreciated the good that happened. The world is a better place because of Dave Cash. "Dave received the "You Make a Difference" Award at PMI in 2001. He received the "Employee Appreciation" Award at PMI in 2013. He also was given a "Certified Screening Expert Award for 11 years of distinguished sales achievements" from Major Wire Industry in 2015. Time off from his job, always resulted in a breakneck schedule of hobbies to pursue & enjoy at top speed. He was indeed the ultimate sportsman & outdoorsman. Proficient (& competitive) with: traditional archery, hunting, fishing, targetshooting, swimming, boating, riding Harleys, diving off high bridges, horseback riding, 4-wheeling, & any other sports challenge that might arise. Dave began playing bass guitar professionally at age 15, playing with many, many Louisville area bands, including: "The Lynchman," "The Morticians," (a hearse was used for transportation to band jobs), "? Anthony? & Busting Loose," "Can-delite" (the band that auditioned his future wife), & many more. Visitation will be Wednesday, 8/26/15 from 4-8 p.m. at Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 201 S.
