Leroy Hinkle III, 59 of Elizabethtown, died Friday, August 7, 2015 at his home. He was born February 12, 1956, in Pewee Valley. Sergeant First Class, served twenty-two years in the U.S. Army, having served during Desert Storm. He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Hinkle Jr. Mr. Hinkle leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Pauline and three children; Jacqulene Steele of Louisville, Jason Hinkle of Rineyville and Curtis Hinkle and wife, Rasha Hinkle of Glendale; five grandchildren, Shai and Byron Steele Jr., Meya Hinkle, Raven and Jaden Hinkle; his mother, Mildred Hinkle of Crestwood; two sisters, Phyllis Cain and Dena Stovall both of Crestwood; a brother, James Lee Flournoy of Louisville and a host of caring relatives and friends. The funeral will be Thursday at 12 noon at Brown Funeral Home with Dr. B. T. Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
