Mary Delois Puckett, 84, of Elizabethtown, went to her eternal home, surrounded by her children on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. She was a native of Grayson Co, and previously worked at the Peoples Store/Factory Outlet. She served as WMU director, Sunday school teacher, and was very active in The Senior Citizen Group at Valley Creek Baptist Church. Our family will remember her most as being a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Kenneth Layman Puckett; parents, William and Eva Ferguson; brothers, Billy Ferguson and Ed Ferguson; and grandson, Jeremy Greenup. She is survived by her son, Danny (Marie) Puckett of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Diane (Bob) Burba of Hodgenville, Pam (Mike) Hulsey of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren, Kenny Puckett, Lora Kurtz, Tracy Greenup, Shauwn Thomas, Scott Thomas, Chris Houk; 24 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a very special nephew, Ricky Ferguson of Texas; and a very special sister-in-law, Betty Whitfill of Grayson Co. The Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Valley Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Merrill Kurtz officiating. Burial will follow at Valley Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home and will continue after 10 a.m. Saturday at Valley Creek Baptist Church.
