Frank W. Smallwood, 82, of Elizabethtown died Monday, October 27, 2014 at Kensington Center. He was a native of Hardin County, who was a Vietnam Veteran who retired from the United States Air Force and received The Distinguished Flying Cross. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Ruby Mae Kiper Smallwood; and a brother, Lewis Smallwood. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Hornback Smallwood; son, Troy Smallwood of Des Moines, IA; two daughters, Beverly Guccione of Temecula, CA and Christina (Dominique) Burton of Elizabethtown; a brother, Kenneth "Bobby" Smallwood of China Spring, TX; a sister, Dorothy Smallwood of Radcliff; two grandchildren, Michael Guccione and Alexander Smallwood. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will follow in White Mills Cemetery.
