Katherine Belt McMillen, 80 of Elizabethtown, formerly of Augusta, GA, died Monday, May 22, 2023 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was a native of Hardin County and a member of First Christian Church. She served as the church secretary at Fleming Christian Church in Augusta, GA. She was a devoted christian and loving mother loved to paint and do crafts. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Tony J. McMillen; her parents, J. Roy Belt and Alice Wilson Belt; two brothers, Richard Belt and James Roy Belt, Jr.; one sister, Helen Brown and a grandson, Jason McMillen. Survivors include her two children, Stephen (Stephanie) McMillen and Julie (Tommy) Owens; one sister, Ellen (Dennis) Paris six grandchildren, Clinton Shelton, Katherine (Joe) Peck, Tony (Alexis) McMillen, Nathan McMillen, Matthew McMillen, and James McMillen and two great-grandchildren, Raven and Noah Peck. A graveside service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hardin Memorial Park with Bro. Chris Kiger officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
