Donald James Coppersmith left for his heavenly home on Monday, December 26, 2022. Born on September 5, 1950 in Youngstown, Ohio. In his better health, he enjoyed fishing, golf and trying to teach the grandkids basketball moves. He was quick witted, wise and a gentle soul, and above all, he loved his family whole heartedly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Barger Coppersmith and father, Donald Elmer Coppersmith. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pamela Hicks Coppersmith; one son, Donald Steven Coppersmith; one daughter, Kelly (Timothy) Hughes; six grandchildren, Zachary, Mackenzie, Makayla, Greyson, Andrew and Trevin; one sister, Karen (Rick) Price and his brother-in-law, Robert (Theresa) Hicks. And don't forget his pet house companion, Max, who will miss the belly rubs and extra treats. Visitation will be from 11 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home.
