Bonetta Bradley Waddle

Bonetta Marie Bradley Waddle, age 84 of Munfordville, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2022. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and doting grandmother. She never met a stranger, readily spoke her mind, and was always among the first to lend a helping hand or come to the aid of others. "Mammie," as she came to be known after the birth of her first grandchild, taught Sunday school for over 30 years at Cub Run Baptist Church, served as a 4-H club leader for nearly 20 years, and was a member of Center Point Missionary Baptist Church since August 2006. She loved her family beyond measure but valued her salvation above all. She often recounted how she was saved on August 26, 1953, at Cub Run Baptist Church after conviction had touched her heart at a revival led by Bro. Ditt Webb and Bro. Roy Sanders a month earlier at Pine Grove Baptist Church. In addition to Everett Waddle, her devoted husband of over 56 years, she was preceded in death by her precious grandparents, Tolbert Wesley and Nora Bratcher, who raised her; her parents, Alva Thomas Bradley and Daphna Bratcher Cottrell; four half brothers, George, Rodney and Paul Cottrell and Wayne Bradley; and a special cousin, Betty Sturgeon Nalley. Survivors include her sons, Paul (Belinda) Waddle of Hiawassee, GA, and Wesley (Angie) Waddle of Munfordville, KY; four grandchildren, Sarah Elisabeth (Ben) Newland of Port Richey, FL, and Abigail, Rebekah, and Harrison Waddle of Munfordville; one great grandchild, Evelyn Newland; four beloved cousins, Tom (Judy) Croghan of Cub Run, Jean (Randy) Thompson of Bowling Green, Ann Stasel of Munfordville, and Karen (Swayne) Shelton of Cub Run; three sisters-in-law, Janice Cottrell of Elizabethtown, Betty Gail Pimental of Lebanon, TN, and Joyce Fitzzaland of Munfordville; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. central time on Saturday, December 31, at Center Point Baptist Church (9805 Cub Run Highway, Munfordville), with Bro. Paul Hawkins and Bro. Joel Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at the Cub Run Community Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, December 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. central time at the church and continues at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Hart County 4-H Program or Cub Run Cemetery Fund. Condolences may be expressed online at brownfuneral.com.
