Jason Lee Johnston

Jason Lee Johnston, 40, of Elizabethtown, passed away at the University of Louisville Hospital on Wednesday, November 9, with his family at his side. He was a faithful member of St. James Catholic Church and an organ donor. Jason was a 2000 graduate of Elizabethtown High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Kentucky Dental School. He practiced dentistry at Lincoln Trail Dental in Elizabethtown. Jason was a loving and caring husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin. He was a sincere and trusted friend to many, young and old alike. He genuinely loved them all. Jason is survived by two children, Gemma, age 6 and Arlo, age 3; his parents, Wayland and Marilyn Johnston of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Jennifer and Jessica, as well as two very special nieces, Julia and Madeline Tabb. Other survivors include a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation for Jason will be Sunday, November 13, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A prayer vigil will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday. A celebration of life Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Monday, November 14 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Wimsatt and Rev. Loi Pham officiating. Burial will follow the mass at St. James Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a contribution to the St. Vincent DePaul Society for those in need in Elizabethtown and Hardin County.
