Frances Edna Riggs, 92 of Sonora, died Monday, August 1, 2022 at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville. She was born on April 11, 1930 and got saved at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in 1942 at the age of 12 years old. She was a member of Faith Missionary Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Alice Butler; her husband, Elvie Riggs; one brother, James Butler; two sisters, Mary Bell Hornback and Etta Mae Riggs and a grandson, Gary Hornback. Survivors include two sons, Stanley (Rita) Riggs of Elizabethtown and Danny Riggs of Sonora; a daughter, Bernice Sherrard of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Kim Cornett, Chad Riggs, Greta Jones, Adam Riggs and Allen Riggs; twelve great-grandchildren, Cody Riggs, Clay Riordan, Crandon Riordan, Asia Stanfield, Jasmine Glasscoe, Cayson Riggs, Raylee Riggs, Makenna Riggs, Bo Riggs, Paisley Riggs, Brian Hornback, and Stephanie Hornback; nine great-great-grandchildren The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sonora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
