Susan Carroll Koeneman, 57 of Elizabethtown, died Monday, April 11, 2022 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was a native of Elizabethtown, a 1982 graduate of Elizabethtown High School and a lifelong member of St. James Catholic Church. She was the former owner of Carroll House and the Co-Owner of D. K. Industries. Susie was a dog lover and donor to Hardin County Humane Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Samuel Carroll and Marlin Routte Carroll. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Dean L. Koeneman; two children, Molly Koeneman of Chicago, IL and Seth (Kashyra) Koeneman of Charleston, SC; three sisters, Theresa (Dr. Robert) Kleinhenz of Hot Springs, Ark., Alesa (Rick) Walters and Samra (Gary) Franklin all of Elizabethtown; a brother, Michael Carroll of Elizabethtown; 4 nieces, 4 nephews, 3 grand nephews and 2 grand nieces. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday May 5th at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
