William E. Schuler

William E. "Bill" Schuler, 87, of Georgetown, KY, formerly of The Villages, FL and Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 3, 2022, at his daughter and son-in-law's home surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on July 7, 1934 in New Jersey to William and Francis Schuler and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a traffic manager at Phelps Dodge in Elizabethtown and then the owner of Redi-Rentals. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, playing cards, sports and horses racing. He fulfilled his dream of being a race horse owner. He was preceded in death by his son, William F. "Billy" Schuler and a sister, Beverly Dalziel. Bill leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 64 years Barbara; his daughter, Susan (David) Henderson of Georgetown; his daughter-in-law, Vicki Schuler of Florida; his son, John (Tiffany) Schuler of Elizabethtown and his grandchildren, Jake Schuler, Katie (Eric) Prince, Lauren (Brandon) Read, Grant Henderson, and Alex, Emily, Lyndsay and Tyler Schuler. The Memorial Service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to DAV.
