Marie Nelson, 91, of Elizabethtown, passed away December 29, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Charles Nelson; two sons, Randal Burdette and Dennis Burdette; and one step-son, Bill Nelson. She is survived by two sons, Billy (Patty) Burdette and James (Laura Rigdon) Burdette; five daughters, Rita (Michael) Regan, Diane (John) Boone, Faye (Gary) Pack, Donna (Tom Skees) Burdette, and Rhonda (Bobby, Sr.) Olliges; one step-daughter, Nancy Adkins; her second family, Penny and Shaun Ware and E.J. and Isaiah; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral is Tuesday, January 4, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Bobby Olliges, Sr. officiating. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
