Irmina Oppel Collins 91, of Knoxville, Tennessee, formerly of Elizabethtown, Kentucky passed away on December 16, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jim) Collins. She is survived by sisters, Helga (Rainer) Leiblein and Marga Warmuth; and several nieces and nephews in Germany. She also leaves family in Knoxville, Tennessee including her caregivers and her niece, Richard Collins, Genia (Lee) Collins Doane, Mary (Ralph) Satterfield Shofner. and many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and several other family members. The family will receive friends from 4PM to 6 PM on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Bridges Funeral Home, then she will return to Elizabethtown, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 9 AM 11 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at St. James Catholic Church, 307 West Dixie Avenue, Elizabethtown, Kentucky 42701. Graveside services will immediately follow at St. James Cemetery in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
