Jacquelyn "Jackie" Barrett Ball

Jacquelyn (Jackie) Barrett Ball passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 after a brief illness. She was born in London, Kentucky, was a resident of Elizabethtown for 54 years, and had numerous close friends through her church and social organizations. She was a volunteer for numerous charity efforts and social involvement in the Hardin County area. She was a devoted member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Elizabethtown. Jackies trademark phrase was, Kill em with Kindness, which reflected her caring and gentle approach to others and her devotion to the Lord. She was a dedicated Big Blue fan and rarely missed the basketball or football games. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy and Ernest Barrett; a sister, Margie Evans, Brother-in-laws Vernon Evans and Lowell Nicely, Niece Pam Hyde, and Nephew David Nicely. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 64 years, Bill Ball; a sister, Anne Nicely; three children, Bradley Ball Jr (Takako), Andrew Ball (Karen), Judy Akers (Randy); nephews and nieces, Jack Evans, Dan Nicely, and Vicki Neely; six grandchildren, Anna Hamilton, Jacquelyn E. Ball, Lindsey Akers, Bradley Ball III, Ashley Arredondo, Johannah Ball, and 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 20th at 3:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. Visitation is from 1-3 p.m Saturday. The family thanks those who have expressed condolences and offered assistance during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers the family asks consideration of donating to the Salvation Army.
