Irbbie Mae Sykes

Irbbie Mae Sykes, 95 of Elizabethtown, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was a native of Jewell County, KS, was an avid bowler and loved watching tennis on tv and water skiing. She loved to cook, bake, garden and flowers. She enjoyed playing cards with her twin sister and loved babies. Irbbie was preceded in death by her husband, William Raymond Sykes; a daughter, Shirley Jo Sykes; three grandchildren, Marci Jo Weldon, Lance Leek and William Sean Sykes; a great granddaughter, Darian Spalding; her parents, Irving and Opal Lucille Lawrence Ross; her twin sister, Abigal "Abbie Lucille" Woody and two brothers, Richard Irving Ross and Laverne Ross. Survivors include her five children, Carolyn Sue Leek of Sisters, OR, Richard Irving Sykes (Yolanda) of San Antonio, TX, Billy McKinnley (Gloria) Sykes of Elizabethtown, Deborah Ann Gardner (David) of San Antonio, TX and Jerry Ross Sykes of Yakima, WA; eleven grandchildren, Samantha Herr, Kevin Akers, Tammy Wasson, Wendy Wright, Mary Michelle Wright, Hilary Anne Cooper, Hannah Marie Sykes, Hayley Mae Wobser, Heather Marie Gardner, Ryan Sykes and Dillon Sykes; eighteen great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great grandchild.
