James Garland Wise, 92, of Elizabethtown, passed away Thursday, Sept 9, 2021 at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville. He was born in Elizabethtown to Joe and Mary Frances (Goodin) Wise. He was a Veteran, worked civil service and was a farmer. He was a member of New Hope Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Halena Wise, daughter Barbara Sue (Holt) Nall, three sisters, Eva Smith, Mary Kilgus, Peggy Hawkins, five brothers Everett, Raymond, Clifford (Louis), Austin (Boss), and Kenneth Wise. He is survived by his two grandsons, Christopher (Shirley) Nall of Hodgenville, Jason (Lisa) Nall of Elizabethtown, 11 great grandchildren, 25 great-great grandchildren and his many friends. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Herb Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
