Kenneth Earl Yates

Kenneth Earl Yates, 87 of Elizabethtown, died Friday, August 6, 2021 at Kensington Center. He was a native of Vine Grove and served in the U.S. Air Force for 9 years, worked at the State Staff of the 123rd Air National Guard at Standiford Field in Louisville and retired as a MSgt. from Central Command MacDill Air Force Base. He attended Texas A&M, was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and was a self employed contractor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas B. and Myrtle Wilson Yates, a great grandson, Xander Christian Davis and seven siblings. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Minnie Miller Yates; one son, Kenneth Dale (Teresa) Yates of Hodgenville; three daughters, Denise (Larry) Alvey of Lawrenceburg, Kimberly Raymer and Deirdre Edwards both of Elizabethtown; 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A Graveside service will be held Monday, August 16, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff with Rev. John Vaught officiating.
