James Kirby Holeman

James Kirby Holeman, 99, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Radcliff Veterans Center. He was a native of Dixon, KY and graduated from Onton High School. He served in the U.S. Army and retired with 29 years of service, then Civil Service and private dental practice for 20 years. James was a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church and Sunday School for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ceannie Holeman; a sister, Ruth Marks and a brother, Carmon Holeman. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Betty Holeman; two daughters, Luann (Dean) Hare and Linda Mingus; a brother, Roy (Fluerte) Holeman and Jimmy Holeman; grandchildren, Ryan Thurman, Ashley (Bradley) Weigel and Taylor and Nicole Mingus; great grandchildren, Allie, Sadie and Asher Thurman. A Graveside service will be Monday, June 28 at 1 p.m. at Hardin Memorial Park with Rev. Emory Riley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Severns Valley Baptist Church.
