Dephine "Nookie" Withers, 48 of Elizabethtown, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. A woman strong, independent, couragious and loving. She touched more hearts than she realized from inside the classroom as a teacher to outside in the local community. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marion Withers and father, David Tinker. She leaves behind her brothers, Terrance Withers (Terri), Braden Withers (Cathy) and Darryl Withers (Kim) and several nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be Saturday at 7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Curle officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
