Leslie "J.R." William Dodson, Jr. 62, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side Saturday, April 3, 2021. He retired from Houchens after 22 years then worked at Flint Ink for 15 years. He loved fishing, being outdoors and most of all spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie W. Dodson, Sr.; his mother, Mary Ruth Nelson; and step father, Paul "Sam" Nelson. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Payton Dodson; two daughters, Missy (Scott) Wood and Amanda (Blake) Wachowski; five grandchildren that he adored, Wyatt, Colton, and Adley Wachowski, and Sydney and Charlie Wood. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
