Joyce Ann Gellhaus, 66, of Hodgenville, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Joyce was born to Joseph and Mildred Tobe on June 22, 1954, in Louisville, KY. She married Charles Gellhaus, Jr. in 1973, together they raised two children. She was a special education teacher at Larue and Nelson County schools and a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Elizabethtown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mildred Tobe. She leaves as her legacy her husband, Charles and two children, Chuck Gellhaus III (Cindy) and Heather Loyall. She also leaves to cherish her memory her four siblings, Tommy Tobe (Tammy), Shirley Tobe, Sandy Derby and Steven Tobe (Carla). Her legacy will continue with her two grandchildren, Audrey Loyall and Elizabeth Gellhaus. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2021 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bardstown.
