Mildred Lee Moorman

Mildred Lee Moorman, 94, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, March 19, 2021 at her residence. She was a native of Larue County and a member of First Baptist Church where she was involved in Better Homes Club and Senior Citizens and formerly worked as the Pastor's aid. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Oliver Moorman, Sr., two children, William O. Moorman, Jr. and Deedie Ford Moorman; granddaughter, Tanya Whitfield; her parents, Cecil and Clara English Meredith and siblings, Warren English and Christine McCary.. She is survived by six children, Mona "Sus" Clements, Sherry Howard, Georgia Thomas, twins, Vanessa Moorman and Renessa Moorman, and Vincent Moorman;a special daughter, Pamela Williams, black baby; three brothers, James Cecil Meredith, Walter Meredith and Jessie Meredith; one sister, Nellie Cummings; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren, and 3 great-great-great grandchildren. Six generations!!! The legacy "Granny", as she was most commonly known, leaves behind is impeccable. The funeral will be Saturday, March 27 at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Carter, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and continue Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
