Alma Laverne Cox, 88, of Cecilia, died Thursday, March 11, 2021 at RobinBrooke Senior Living. She was born February 27, 1933 in Hardin County and a 1951 graduate of Howevalley High School. Alma began her career as an Administrative Assistant at Fort Knox retiring after 17 years and became the secretary at First Presbyterian Church for another 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, James L. Cox and Helen Stewart Cox Baker; step father, Eldon Baker and brothers, Charles Lee Cox and Raymond M. Cox. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Peake; brother, James (Stephanie) Baker; nieces, Cathy Peake Wilson and Demonica Baker; nephews, Eric Peake, Jon Baker and Michael Cox; great niece, Baylee Ray; great nephews, Zachary Peake (Rachel) Wilson, Nathaniel Peake Wilson, and Brennan Ray and great-great nephews, William Ellis Wilson and Weston Craig Ray Baker. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Landon Harting officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
