Sharon Renae Woodring

Sharon Renae Woodring, 42, of Rineyville, moved from her mom and dads house to her Heavenly Fathers house Friday, January 29, 2021. She passed away peacefully at home after her battle with cancer. She was a 1996 graduate of North Hardin High School and a 2000 graduate of Abilene Christian University, where she acheived a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She taught at Phoenix Charter School in Greenville, Texas, along with Hardin County Schools in Kentucky. Sharon painted pictures and murals for family and friends, and donated her art skills to schools and libraries. She enjoyed many types of crafts, made several costumes for her nieces and nephews, and sewed hats for other cancer patients. Sharon was a faithful member of Elizabethtown Church of Christ, having a heart for evangelism and missions. She faithfully took care of her mom as being both her daughter and best friend. Sharon was preceded in death by her dad, David Woodring. She is survived by her mom, Claudia Woodring; four siblings and their spouses, Brian and Anisia Woodring, Denise and Mark Cochran, Laura and James Cruse, Amanda and Joe Dixon; nieces and nephews, James and John Woodring, Douglas, Brandon and Jacob Cochran, Jayden, Zach and Zoey Cruse, Autumn, Liam, Christopher, and Catherine Dixon; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Elizabethtown Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park. Visitation is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and continues from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Elizabethtown Church of Christ.
