Beulah Bird Atterberry

Beulah Bird Atterberry, 87, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at her home. She was a native of Hardin County and a faithful member of Bethesda Ministry where she formerly taught Sunday school. She loved spending time with her family and playing her guitar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Logan Atterberry; parents, Fred Pope Bird and Cora Mae Horton Bird; seven siblings, Thelma Whitman, James Bird, Walter Bird, Ivan Bird, Ernestine Bowker, Irene Seaton, and Earl Bird; and a great grandchild, Andrea Borders. She is survived by two sons, Timothy Atterberry and Stephen Atterberry both of Elizabethtown; four daughters, Annetta Payton, Sharon (Jimbo) Goldsmith, and Anna Hargis all of Elizabethtown, and Debra (Vern) Schlosser of Colorado Springs, CO; a brother, Fred Bird, Jr. of Hopkinsville, KY; two sisters, Alberta (Perry) Arnold of Happy Jack, AZ, and Shirley (Hoyt) Ball of Chaplin, KY; nine grandchildren, Amy (Joey) Borders, Karen (John) Killebrew, Julia (Danny) Keathley, Heather (Kevin) Korrell, Kevin (Bethany) Payton, Michael Schlosser, Briana (Evan) Thompson, Austin Atterberry, and Landon (Anna) Atterberry; and eight great grandchildren, Katlyn, Jaden, Ashley, Jace, Natalie, Gunnar, Sydney, and Liam. The funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethesda Ministry with Rev. Jerry Westerfield officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
