Ronald B Lively

Ronald B Lively, 71 of Cecilia, passed away on September 28, 2018 at his home. Born on September 22, 1947 in Summit, Kentucky, Ronnie was a lifelong member of Summit United Methodist Church. He was a former farm equipment salesman, grocer, real estate agent, and farmer. Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Janice Lynn Lively; his father, Romey B. Lively; and brother, Sam Lively. He is survived by his mother, Wanda Lively; son, Bryan (Deanna) Lively; brother, Mike (Marquetta) Lively; nephews, Marcus (Jayne Kelly) Lively and Douglas Helm as well as niece, Darla (Josh) Kirkland. His brother-in-law, Darryl (Marilyn) Helm also survives. On October 4, 2014, Ronnie married Neda Howey. She and her family welcomed Ronnie and his family into their lives with love and open arms. In addition to Neda, Ronnie is survived by step-sons, Bryan (Ericka) Howey and Neil (Andrea) Howey as well as step-daughter, Bethany (Travis) Vaughn. Seven step-grandchildren brought him great joy as their "Poppy". Ronnie shared wonderful relationships with his brothers-in-law, James Cowherd, Paul (Bonnie) Cowherd, and David (Patti) Cowherd. Ronnie is also survived by special cousins, Julia Richardson and Phyllis Lasley, as well as a host of men who were not only business partners and co-workers but also brothers. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Summit United Methodist Church with Bro. Bill Ronsaville, Bro. Don Cox and Bro. Glenn Cornett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home and will continue at 11 a.m. at the church.
