Carolyn Roppel Linebach

Carolyn Roppel Linebach, born on April 21, 1929; died August 21, 2018, at her home. She was a native of Louisville and worked for over 30 years at The Red Barn Mall in antique and craft sales. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Linebach, Jr.; parents, Edward J. Roppel, Sr. and Caroline M. Denkler; brothers, Edward, Jerome and Cletus Roppel; and sister, Helen Young. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy E. Sutherland and Sandra E. Harbin both of Louisville; a son, Very Rev. Martin A. Linebach of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren, Sarah Seebold and Nicholas Harbin and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Virgil and John Roppel; and a sister, Rita Steedly all of Louisville. A Funeral/Memorial Mass will occur at Saint James Catholic Church in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on Saturday, September 8 at 11:00am. Visitation and lunch will follow in Batcheldor Hall on the Parish campus. Mrs. Linebach bequeathed her body to the University of Louisville School of Medical Sciences for research purposes.
