Frank Augustus Mellon, Jr., 91 of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, July 4, 2018. He was a native of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, served in the United States Army, and was a Finance Director for the City of Ashland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Kruschinsky Mellon; parents, Frank A. Mellon, Sr. and Lena Preston Mellon; and four sisters, Lilian Ramey, Peggy Horne, Joanne Truax, and Susan Salyers. He is survived by his son, Frank Albert Mellon and daughter-in-law, Jacque Dunn of Elizabethtown; one grandson, Josh Dunn (Anna) and two great grandchildren, Hayden Bryson and Jacob Dunn. The funeral will be Saturday, July 7th at 4 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Ed Bryson officiating. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be Friday, July 13th at 1:30 p.m. in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
