Jane Ellen Bentley, 71, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at her residence in Elizabethtown. Jane was born on July 10, 1946, in DeKalb, Illinois to Henry and Doris Gibson. She grew up in Buffalo, KY, an active member of Buffalo Baptist Church and a 1963 graduate of Larue County High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved UK Basketball, flea markets, and most especially, vacations in Gatlinburg, TN. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Bentley, in 1992; as well as her parents, a brother, David Gibson and her step father, Wilburn Reynolds. She is survived by a son, Charles (Carrie) Bentley of Louisville; a daughter, Jenny (David) Allan of Vine Grove and three grandsons, Danny Griffith of Vine Grove, Michael Bentley of Bowling Green and William Bentley of Elizabethtown. Honoring Jane's wishes, the family will hold a private graveside service with Chaplain Larry Vance officiating at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
