Paul M. James, 85, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Helmwood Healthcare. He was a native of Lorimor, Iowa, served in the U.S. Army and retired after 33 years as an Educator with Hardin County Schools. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Jackson James; his parents, Jack and Blanche Holloway James and a sister, Shirley Brooks. Survivors include a son, Steven James (Brian Jeffries) of Elizabethtown; the mother of his children, Barbara James of Elizabethtown and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be Friday, October 13, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Rachel Marshall officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Friday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Contributions to Hosparus.
